I can't believe it's already almost Christmas. It's, like, five weeks away. Before we know it, it'll be 2004.

I seem to have misplaced my journal. I found it this morning exactly where I'd left it under a potted plant in my living room. The Ministry has asked me to write in my journal again, so that's what I'm doing. I'm not naturally a spill-my-life-to-the-world type, and especially not right now, when I have been doing so horribly. I'm surprised I survived trading season without Barry getting someone better to replace me.

Quill problems, sorry. I think I need to get a new one. There, Ministry, are you happy?

Good match yesterday, Puddlemere.

Random question of the day: you know that rhyme "how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" why is it called a woodchuck if it can't chuck wood? How do you chuck wood, anyway?

I'm not a completely rubbish Keeper, am I?

OH YEAH!

I've learned my lesson now, no journaling while drunk, and we definitely went out drinking last night. Now that is how you start off a season!

That, I think, was the single most glorious moment of my entire life. I could probably even cast a patronus with that kind of a memory now

So, I got a letter from the Ministry, telling me to write in my journal. Which, of course, meant I had to find my journal. I bought a potted plant a couple weeks ago, and somehow this had gotten wedged under the pot.

Less than a month until the season starts! I can't wait. I don't think I've mentioned just how EXCITED I am to be playing professionally. Dream come true and all that.

Rhi! We need to get together for coffee or something.

So, something to remember in the future. Dislocating your shoulder hurts a lot, but going out with your teammates for drinks afterwards and drinking until it doesn't hurt isn't the most bril idea ever, because then you wake up in the morning and your head suddenly weighs a ton. It would help if the people on the street outside weren't so loud.

Does anyone have any good hangover remedies?

You know what I love? Quidditch practice. Even when I dislocate my shoulder, it's just so much fun. You know what else is fun? Going out for drinks with your teammates after practice. I think I maybe had a bit much.

George Weasley, this spell-checking quill is bril. I'm pretty sure I'm not writing real words all the time because I'm kind of drunk, but the quill is fixing it.

I love firewhisky too.

Oh, I can't wait until the season starts. Being out on the pitch and competing professionally is like just a dream come true. Am I really here or is this a dream? I've also just got a new flat, and it's loads better than my old one, and not just because it's not in the seedy part of town. I love the name, too. The Rising Phoenix. It seems fitting I think my flat needs some plants to cheer it up a bit, though. Potted plants, not vases. I'd probably knock them over every five minutes if I had vases. I'd love to have one of those charming little cottages one day, though. Then I could have a garden. Or maybe one day I'll get a nice little house on the coast somewhere, maybe near a lighthouse. Or just out in the middle of nowhere, where I can lie out and just stare up at the stars at night and listen to the ocean. It sounds so different when it's beating against a sandy beach than out on rocks in the middle of the ocean

I'm rambling, aren't I? I'm sorry, I kind of do that sometimes. Though I suppose that you don't have to read this, anyway, so my rambling shouldn't really bother you, yeah? I mean, if you don't want to read my rambling, you can just skip over it. I'm not really used to writing in a journal where anyone can see what I'm writing. Though it is interesting to see what everyone else is writing.

So how is everyone, then?
